Augmentation Mammaplasty (Breast Augmentation):

Breast augmentation enlarges a woman’s breasts and improves breast symmetry through the surgical placement of breast implants. In general, it is a cosmetic procedure performed to fulfill a personal desire for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. Implants may sometimes be used for reconstructive purposes following mastectomy or injury (please see information regarding Breast Reconstruction below). Augmentation may be combined with a breast lift for the correction of sagging breasts.

Mastopexy (Breast Lift):

A breast lift, or mastoplexy, is surgery to uplift and improve the shape of the female breast that sags or is pendulous but is proportionate with the body frame, has lost firmness and elasticity, has a flatter, elongated shape or has an unsupported nipple and areola.

non-surgical breast lift:

Introducing ThermiBreast™, using the ThermiTight® application.

With ThermiBreast, Dr. Holland will apply a controlled amount of heat to targeted tissue.  ThermiBreast is an application that may be used for patients who seek to enhance their natural breast appearance, without visible scars. The procedure is a single application, minimally invasive, and  has minimum downtime.

reduction Mammaplasty (Breast Reduction):

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure to reduce the size of large breasts that are disproportionate to a woman’s body and can cause physical pain. Technically called reduction mammaplasty, breast reduction improves breast size, shape and the associated conditions of large breasts that may include back, neck and shoulder pain or discomfort, restricted activity, skin irritation, sagging, stretched skin and/or an enlarged areola.

Gynecomastia (MALE BREAST REDUCTION):

Gynecomastia, or male breast reduction, is surgery to reduce excess skin. The weight of excess breast tissue may cause breasts to stretch the areola (dark skin surrounding the nipple) and in these cases surgery would also improve the position and size of the areola.

Breast Reconstruction:

Breast reconstruction is achieved through several reconstructive plastic surgery techniques to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following mastectomy and may include flap techniques, tissue expansion, surgical placement of a breast implant and grafting or other specialized techniques.

For years, I was uncomfortable with the way my clothes fit. I was self-conscious about the size of my breasts and felt everyone was looking at them, and not in a “good” way. I was not having any back or shoulder pain, so I knew my insurance company was not going to pay for a reduction. I finally made the decision to just do it for myself. I made an appointment with Dr. Holland. I liked her from the start. She took the time to explain the process and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed or like she needed to hurry to get to the next patient. She was very professional, kind and genuine and completely understood where I was coming from and what I was hoping for. I was confident I had chosen the right doctor to perform my reduction. The surgery went well. Several months later, I ended up with a hypertrophic scar. Dr. Holland had me come in right away to address the problem. I am thankful for the care I received from Dr. Holland. She made this a very positive experience for me. I only wish I had done it sooner! I would not hesitate to contact her again for anything in the future, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone.
