comprehensive consultation with dr. holland

During a comprehensive consultation for breast augmentation using implants, patients receive personalized attention from Dr. Holland. The consultation begins with a detailed discussion of your aesthetic goals, concerns regarding breast size and shape, and the results you hope to achieve.

To help visualize your options, patients can explore different implant sizes and use our 3D simulation technology to see how various choices may look on their own body. If you have completed the myArbrea simulation before your appointment, we can use your visualization as a starting point. If not, we can create one together in the office.

Dr. Holland will review your options and explain the procedure in detail, including implant types, incision locations, and placement techniques, as well as potential risks and benefits. This interactive approach allows you to see and understand your options while developing a surgical plan tailored to your anatomy and goals.

things to consider before having breast augmentation with implants:

  • Maximum discomfort will occur the first few days after surgery and then will subside gradually.

  • It is not unusual to find that one breast is slightly more swollen and uncomfortable than the other.

  • You may experience temporary soreness, bruising, swelling, and tightness in the breast as well as discomfort in the incision area.

  • Your breasts will feel firm to the touch and your scars may be red and firm. The scars will soften and fade in time (approximately 6 months).

  • If you are sent home with drains, they will be removed at a later date in the clinic.

  • It is generally best to plan to take seven to ten days off before returning to work. If your job is physical, it is not unreasonable to take some extra time.

Breast augmentation enlarges a woman’s breasts and improves breast symmetry through the surgical placement of breast implants. In general, it is a cosmetic procedure performed to fulfill a personal desire for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. Implants may sometimes be used for reconstructive purposes following mastectomy or injury. Augmentation may be combined with a breast lift for the correction of sagging breasts.

From my first phone conversation I knew I had picked the correct office and surgeon. Teamwork is palpable with all hands on deck. Time management is amazing-no sitting and waiting around. I arrived and within three minutes I was placed into an immaculate room where Dr. Holland’s assistant obtained all of my medical information. Once Dr. Holland entered she welcomed me with such warmth and I immediately felt safe-I knew she was going to be my surgeon (I had interviewed three other surgeons). Dr. Holland listened to my concerns about my body and together we came up with a plan. She was not pushy-she listened to me-she was engaged and caring. I then had 3-D pictures taken which was kind of fun because they flow to an app on my phone so I can show others if I chose to do so. My overall appointment I would rate it an A+ . I have zero complaints.
