InBody® Body Composition Scan — Personalized Insight for Your Journey

At Holland Plastic Surgery + Aesthetics, we believe that sustainable weight management begins with a deeper understanding of your body—not just your scale weight or BMI. That’s why we’re proud to offer the InBody® body composition scan, a clinically validated tool that gives you a precise, data-driven baseline for your transformation.

why inbody?

- Beyond the scale: Traditional weight measures don’t tell the full story. The InBody scan breaks down your weight into lean muscle mass, body fat mass, visceral fat, and more—so you—and our team—see what's inside.

- Highly accurate and repeatable: InBody uses segmental multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to deliver consistent, reliable data across time.

- Custom guidance: We don’t just read your numbers—we translate them into personalized recommendations for nutrition, strength training, and body contouring (if desired).

- Monitor progress, not just weight: Monthly or quarterly scans help us track changes in muscle/fat balance, hydration, and more—so we can refine your plan as you evolve.

what the scan measures:

Body Composition
Total body water, dry lean mass, fat mass, overall weight.

Muscle–Fat Analysis
Skeletal muscle mass vs. body fat mass.

Obesity & Fat Metrics
BMI, percent body fat, visceral fat level.

Segmental Lean & Fat Analysis
Muscle/fat breakdown in right arm, left arm, trunk, right leg, left leg.

ECW / TBW & Phase Angle
Ratio of extracellular water to total body water (fluid balance), plus cell integrity marker.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
Estimated calories burned at rest.

what to expect during a scan?

  • The scan is quick (usually under 2 minutes), non-invasive, and comfortable.

  • You’ll simply stand barefoot on the device’s foot electrodes and hold handles for upper-body electrodes.

  • Immediately after, you'll receive the full results and a walk-through with one of our specialists.

  • To maintain consistency, preparatory steps are recommended.

Is an InBody Scan Right for You?

If you’re enrolled (or considering enrollment) in our weight management program—including Semaglutide or other medically guided plans—or thinking ahead to body-sculpting, the InBody scan offers valuable insight. While it’s not required, nearly all of our patients benefit from the clarity and accountability it provides.
